The second crew member (the weapons systems officer—WSO) from the downed U.S. F-15E Strike Eagle was rescued by U.S. special operations forces, with Navy SEAL Team 6 (of Osama bin Laden fame) playing a lead role in the extraction. The 5 people killed during the rescue operation were Iranians (IRGC), according to Iranian officials and state-linked media reports.

Two Israeli commando units—"Sayeret Matkal" and Unit 5101 “Shaldag”—participated in the rescue of the American pilot near Isfahan, according to the latest reports. "Sayeret Matkal" is the IDF’s elite general‑purpose commando unit with deep‑penetration and hostage‑rescue capabilities. "Shaldag" is an Israeli Air Force special forces unit trained for clandestine operations, reconnaissance, and combat search‑and‑rescue missions behind enemy lines.

It is much easier to shoot at women and children, or elderly people fleeing or seeking protection; to machine-gun families in their beds, babies in their cradles, sleeping children, and young people dancing until the end of the night; and to torch them alive while they are defenseless. It is undoubtedly easier to round up teenagers or ordinary people in the street and hang them from cranes after 10-minute sham trials, without a lawyer and based on forced confessions extracted under torture. It is obviously easier to fire with heavy machine-guns into crowds of protesters who only seek to live in peace, in harmony, freed from a loathed Islamic dictatorship. Yes, it is much easier to wage this kind of war than to face real warriors. Now you know. Now the whole world knows what cowards you are.
